Family Groups are a really important part of our school and they demonstrate our mission of “Learning, Caring and Achieving” together.
Each family group is made up of children from EYFS all the way to Year 6 and we meet every half term with our Family Group teacher to learn together. Brothers and sisters from the same family have opportunities to work together in these family groups.
During the autumn term, we always meet together to welcome new members to our family and create our special photo-frame. This year, the title was “Reach for the Stars”. We also meet before Christmas to make a decoration or listen carefully to stories about Jesus.
During the spring term, we meet together to plan a collective worship for the summer term. This year, we will be meeting to create invites for the Daffodil Tea.
During the summer term, each family group leads a collective worship to either the Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 children. Every child is involved and will either show artwork, retell bible stories using actions or take a speaking part.
Family groups are a great opportunity to get together to learn and care.
